About Shine
my name is Shine, and I am currently a second-year Civil Engineering student at the University of Johannesburg. I have a strong academic background, particularly in Mathematics and Science subjects, and I am passionate about helping learners understand and succeed in these areas.
I have experience tutoring Grade 11 learners, where I assisted with Mathematics and Science subjects. This experience has helped me develop the ability to explain concepts clearly, work patiently with students, and adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs.
I am a dedicated, reliable, and approachable tutor who focuses on building both understanding and confidence. I believe that every learner has the potential to improve with the right guidance and support. My goal is not only to help students achieve better marks, but also to make learning less stressful and more enjoyable.

As a Civil Engineering student with a strong background in Mathematics and Sciences, I specialise in breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand steps.
My lessons are conducted in English, and I am able to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure learners feel comfortable asking questions and engaging throughout the session.
In a typical lesson, I start by identifying the learner’s problem areas, followed by clear explanations of key concepts. We then work through examples together and practice questions to reinforce understanding. I also assist with homework, test preparation, and exam strategies to help learners improve their confidence and performance.
My tutoring is aimed at Grade 10–12 learners who need support in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Agricultural Sciences. Whether a student is struggling to pass or aiming to improve their marks, my goal is to provide guidance, build confidence, and help them achieve better academic results.
