About Sophia
I am a rising Second-Year student at the University of Virginia majoring in Commerce and French on the pre-law track. In high school, I tutored remotely for a non-profit organization catered towards underprivileged elementary and middle school students in my area. I am also a Calc I TA at college, where I help students in Calc I classes digest and process material, and I also tutor some of them outside class to further aid in their learning. Apart from academics, I play golf, speak French, and am a fitness instructor.

My lessons include a focus topic or struggle area for the student, predetermined by going over the topics they are currently learning and honing in on what they have missed in the past. I can also go over preparation material for summer lessons, ensuring that they are well versed in upcoming math topics at school. In the past, I have found that working on class assignments and going through homework with the student has helped tremendously with their progress, so I try to do that too. My lessons are usually catered towards middle and high school students, but I can also teach college-level materials up to Calculus II.
