About Imad
My name is Imad, I'm a Computer Science student at City, University of London. I would like to teach because I know, through my 3 younger brothers, that a lot of students feel as though they've missed out on a lot of learning over the lockdown period and aren't receiving the 1-1 help they need to catch-up. A lot of schools are struggling to teach current content let alone topics missed out over the last 2 years. Schools have pushed a lot of the responsibility to the students and I understand that's the case and would like to use my expertise to help out.

During my A Levels, I tutored maths to kids falling behind in year 7-11. I went through maths tutoring for 3 and a half years during GCSE and A Levels. I understand what methods of teaching certain topics are effective and those that aren't. My approach to maths tutoring is a practice question oriented one. Where I would teach the topic to the student in an easy and understandable way providing many examples, then work on real life exam style past paper questions to prepare the students for the level of difficulty and to hone their maths skills. To avoid forgetting, I provide material covering past topics worked on. With maths PRACTICE is KEY, and practicing exam style questions from the start after learning the material, is the most effective way of learning maths. It ensures the students will see correlations in the questions they receive in exams.
