I'm a dedicated tutor currently studying Medical Sciences, with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. My Approach to Tutoring and How I Teach My Classes Techniques and Teaching Methodology My teaching style is flexible, student-centred, and tailored to the individual needs of each learner. I break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and use active recall, past paper practice, and real-life examples to help students truly understand and remember key concepts. For sciences like Biology and Chemistry, I focus on linking theory to practical applications and exam technique. In Maths, I guide students through step-by-step problem-solving strategies to build confidence and fluency. For English, I help students improve their analytical skills, essay structure, and creative writing through targeted feedback and discussion. For A-Level students, I place more emphasis on critical thinking, evaluation, and mastering exam command words — especially in subjects like Psychology, Biology, and Chemistry. I use: Visual aids (diagrams, flowcharts, annotated examples) Exam board-aligned resources Spaced repetition and active recall techniques Regular mini-assessments and progress tracking Typical Length of a Lesson Most lessons are 60 minutes long, which works well for building understanding and practising exam questions. However, I can also offer shorter 45-minute sessions for focused revision or 90-minute sessions for in-depth topics or intensive exam prep. Qualifications and Experience I’m currently studying BSc Medical Sciences, with a strong academic background in the subjects I teach. I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English, and Psychology, both one-on-one and in small groups. I’ve also volunteered in educational settings and know how to support different types of learners — whether they’re aiming for top grades or trying to build a solid foundation.
