About Grishma
I am a second-year science student at Wilfrid Laurier University with a strong academic background in English. I have completed two university-level English courses and earned an A in both, along with consistently achieving 90%+ in all English classes in high school.
Since a young age, English has been a passion of mine. I’ve always loved reading, especially classic literature by authors like Jane Austen, which helped shape my appreciation for language, storytelling, and effective communication.
I bring that same passion into my tutoring by helping students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and develop a genuine interest in reading and writing.

In our first session, I assess the child’s current level in reading, writing, and comprehension to better understand their strengths and areas for growth. This helps me create lessons tailored specifically to their needs.
I structure each lesson to be engaging, supportive, and results-focused. We begin with a short warm-up to review previous concepts and build confidence. I then introduce a new skill using clear explanations and examples tailored to your child’s level.
Next, we work through guided practice together, followed by independent activities that encourage critical thinking and creativity. I incorporate reading aloud, pronunciation practice, and discussion to strengthen comprehension and communication skills.
I also assign daily homework, as practice makes perfect
Each session ends with personalized feedback, a quick reflection, and a short activity to reinforce learning at home.
