About Tobias
I am a passionate linguist who has been studying Spanish, French and Chinese for more than half my life. I have been a secondary school teacher teaching Spanish and French to KS3 and KS4 for four years; my last class had a 100% pass rate with nearly half achieving grades 7-9. My favourite aspect of teaching is taking the time to connect individually with my students and see their personal journey while learning a language. I also am a keen historian and really enjoy delving into the history and culture of language.

I will bring my knowledge and enthusiasm for classroom teaching to give a personalised and focused tutoring approach, whatever your learning goals. Lessons begin with a brief warm-up exercise that recaps previous learning and prepares for the main content. We will then cover a specific grammar point in relation to the skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking, often linking this to a wider cultural point about the language. I have the most experience with teaching ages 11-16 but I also have experience tutoring adults, and can tailor my approach to any curriculum.
