About Phil
I am currently an MFL teacher at a secondary school in Norwich. I have 5 years experience of teaching at secondary level and have also been a Head of Department. Before entering teaching I achieved a BA from the University of Warwick in French and Italian Studies and an MA (with Distinction) in French studies from the same university.
My approach to teaching focusses on encouraging students to become confident in speaking and communicating in the target language. I believe that making languages fun and engaging is the best way to develop fluency.

Throughout my career as a secondary school languages teacher I have adopted an engaging and interactive approach to teaching, and have achieved excellent results from both GCSE and A Level classes for both French and Italian. I believe that everyone has the ability to reach an advanced level of fluency in a foreign language with effort and dedication. I have guided many students over the years to reach their full potential, whether it be in a class of 32 or one-on-one.
