About Lucy
My passion and speciality is Biology but I have experience teaching all 3 sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) to KS3 and also chemistry to GCSE. I also teach Biology Alevel.
I have experience in teaching pupils of all abilities, and have worked a lot with SEN, EAL pupils. I have a whole range of resources and strategies that will enable me to tailor your lesson to the way you like to learn.
I have done both face to face 1:1 tutoring and moved to online tutoring during COVID19 with both year 10 and year 11 STUDENTS. I have also done 1:1 tutoring for GCSE resits. All students received excellent grades in the summer and were very grateful for their sessions with me, finding them extremely helpful.
I am very easy to talk to and am willing to go over anything you think you need help with - be it homework, exam questions or lesson content you just haven't got a clue about!

I am a Secondary School Science teacher; my degree is in Zoology and I gained QTS in 2017 from Edge Hill Uni.
I have experience teaching all abilities, and have resources and strategies to engage, challenge and assess a range of abilities, including SEN and EAL.
I like to keep my lessons interactive, with lots of input from you but with regular feedback from me so you are aware of the progress you are making. I have a bank full of videos, powerpoints and questions available to you.
I believe a great way to consolidate knowledge and understanding is to complete exam questions; that way identifying gaps in your knowledge and strengths too! I am very happy to go through the whole specification, parts of it or anything you feel you need to work on. "It's your choices that really reflect who you are far more than your abilities!"
