About Josh
Hi there! My name is Josh and I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. I was a homeschooled kid growing up so needless to say I had a lot of free time. I picked up the guitar seriously when I was 14 and fell in love with it - at many times feeling that the guitar was the only thing keeping me sane. The love for the instrument brought me to where I am now, an advanced 21 year old guitarist. I am very keen to inspire others to start their own journey with the guitar and share in what I felt playing it every day.

I picked up the guitar seriously when I was 14 and taught myself all the basics then quickly moved to an intermediate level within a few months. I then got a guitar teacher who, as I quickly realised, wasn’t helping me progress as efficiently as I was on my own so I decided to keep on with the self-teaching method.
I am now 21 and I consider myself an advanced guitarist. As a result, I am a firm believer that no one can teach you the guitar as well as you can teach yourself and that is my goal, to help you teach yourself.
