About LeAnna
I have been playing the violin for 15 years, and for eight of those 15 I have had several opportunities to teach the instrument, in both individual and class settings. I have worked in community projects teaching violin to children but I am able to teach adults as well. I have had several performance opportunities and I also compose my own music. One of my first students lives abroad now and has become a great player, to the extent that he now has students of his own in his local area.

My classes are catered to the student's individual capabilities. Not everybody learns at the same pace or speed, and my lessons are tailored to suit those. Progress reports are given in a way that the student can see for themselves how far they have reached. I base my lessons on what the student knows about the violin. I do not assume that my students know nothing when I first meet them. I start with what they DO know and work from there.
