About Hamish
I started learning music at a very young age and progressed through many different instruments. I have been competing all around the country receiving numerous titles and awards. I chose the harp as it is one of the few instruments that allow me to keep the traditional melody yet bring the music into the modern day style with the left hand accompaniment. As i have previously stated i have just been awarded senior all Ireland harp champion for this year. I have always loved learning music and now that I am teaching it I have found a new sense of accomplishment in watching my students learn and grow.

I teach traditional Irish music. I usually do hour long lessons carefully outlining the right and left hand, I tend to teach by ear which seems to be more rewarding allowing the musician to be able to adapt and learn a broader range of music. I focus in on the correct technique and skill leaving my students well versed in the traditional style. I also coach many of my students for competitions all around the country with many receiving county and Munster titles.
