About Mary
Hello! My name is Mary and I am currently in my last semester of university and plan to further my education by attending graduate school. I originally entered school as a literature and writing major, but will now be graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice studies. I have been in a child development research lab on my campus for over a year now, and have plenty of experience writing and reading research papers. My major/minor also require a lot of writing and research. I have previous experience proofreading and assisting with improving papers, tutoring statistics, and I previously worked with 1-3 year-olds in 1 on 1 settings (So I am also pretty patient). English was always my strongest subject growing up, and essays were definitely my strong suit. However, I have also struggled with my grades at times and understand how important it is to get help outside of the classroom.

I can help any student from middle school through high school with academic writing and comprehension.
For returning students: The first session will focus on evaluating the student's current skills and addressing writing concerns. I will help students with homework assignments. I may assign short exercises to work on between sessions. I can provide comprehension/writing activities during sessions if the student does not have work of their own at the time.
Proofreading (This is for students who simply want help checking their work): I will go over the student's work with them and make suggestions about how to improve it. This includes grammar, citations, and general paper contents.
Note: Need AP Psychology tutoring? Let me know and I could help with that as well! (Same rate)
