About George
I am an American-educated and UK-certified Mathematics educator having acquired over twenty-five years of
experience in preparing students for university entrance in the UK and USA. I have extensive experience in preparing students for the following American/International and British examinations:

I believe that intuition and logic are the single most important components of mathematical understanding. When they are lacking, students perform by mimicking techniques without any real understanding of why they are using the technique, or where it derives from. By providing my students with mathematical building blocks and focusing on the basic intuition needed to use those building blocks flexibly and meaningfully, they drastically reduce their need to memorize and increase their ability to handle a range of problems. Hence, I build complex theories out of smaller, easily understood mathematical building blocks and then assist my students in connecting these building blocks using intuition and logic. Then, I put myself in the position of my students, to predict where they may struggle to understand the material.
