About Guy
I am a tenured Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor and award-winning teacher with 14 years experience working at elite universities, such as UCL and King's College, London and 10 years experience as a private tutor. I have a History BA from Cambridge (First), a political theory MA (Distinction) and PhD from UCL and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I instruct politics, international relations, philosophy, and history using my unique knowledge of the demands of university assessments to help students of all levels (from high school to PhD) meet their full potential.
I am an expert in cutting-edge teaching techniques and have helped hundreds of students improve their grades. Navigating university learning can be tricky, but with my tried-and-tested strategies, you will see a rapid improvement in your essay writing and knowledge of the subject. Having published 20 papers in academic outlets, I know how to produce high quality academic work and will give you the confidence and mentorship you need to succeed. I have marked thousands of student exams and courseworks over the years, giving me insight into what university assessors are looking for when it comes to first-class academic writing. I also offer help with planning, overcoming procrastination, writer's block, lack of motivation and other obstacles to success.
