About Charles
I have taught history, philosophy, ethics, religion and photography for 30 years, both at the college level and in private secondary. I have won awards and accolades from many of my students. Many of them have regarded me as their "mentor." My degrees are from UVA and Yale, and they include a PhD.

I have always taught via the Socratic Method. That is, I teach by engaging my students in a question & answer dynamic. That can be quite challenging...and thus I have always balanced that challenge with humor, often directed at myself.
