About Carly
My name is Carly and I can’t wait to get to know my students. I love swimming, reading, and hiking. Being outside in warm weather makes me so happy, and I love being with my friends. At school, I love reading new books and participating in class discussions about what we are reading. Outside of school, I nanny for a wonderful family. I love working with kids and as someone who understands what it feels like to be stuck on an assignment, I can’t wait to help my students feel as calm and worry-free as possible when doing school work!

As a senior at Professional Children's School in NYC who spearheads Student Government and peer tutoring for middle schoolers, I have lots of experience in tutoring younger students. I have also worked as a camp counselor for two years. These roles have given me the ability to connect with kids, understand their needs, and tailor my approach to help them succeed. My passion for creative writing, English literature, and books has shaped my dedication to helping students not only improve academically but also develop a deep love for learning. I focus on nurturing each student’s individual strengths, whether it’s enhancing their writing skills, improving reading comprehension, or boosting their organizational habits. With patience, personalized support, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, I aim to build both confidence and skills in every student I work with.
