About Nicole
I live in Philadelphia with my two cats. I graduated high school and moved out at 16 so I have been on my own for a while now and I love it. I am originally from Las Vegas and I love to go visit whenever I can. I am in the process of starting my own business and we hope to launch this coming January.

I believe in helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorizing steps. This is for a few reasons; Once something is fully understood you realize there are many shortcuts and easier ways to execute, and often understanding once concept makes the next easier to learn. I also believe in teaching study methods and the methods I use to figure things out. Once you understand the basis of a concept, it is easy to piece other related things together. This applies to all academia including math, government, history, writing, and even chemistry. In regards to standardized testing, it is almost impossible to fully prepare for the CONTENT on the exam, as it always changes. However, the test follows certain patterns that you can learn to recognize and take an educated guess even if you do not understand the question. It is intentional these tests are designed around critical thinking because anyone can learn an equation, but universities want to see who can learn to THINK academically.
