About Luke
I’ve always enjoyed mathematics, but I only reached that point by understanding how it works.
I believe many people think they're “bad at maths” not because they lack ability, but because they were never taught in a way that made sense to them.
I want to change that. Anyone can learn mathematics when it’s explained clearly and patiently. My goal as a tutor is to show students that this subject isn’t closed off to them.

My approach is built around understanding what you need most. Every student has different strengths and knowledge gaps so each lesson is shaped to suit your needs.
At the core of my teaching is the belief that progress comes from understanding the underlying ideas first. Once the concepts make sense, we turn that understanding into the mathematical tools you’ll need for your exams, i.e. intuitive reasoning, and then methods you can apply and adapt under exam conditions.
