About MATHEWS
Physical Therapist with 35 yrs of experience (10 yrs of Full Time Teaching in PT school + 25 Yrs of Clinical Practice). I have experience teaching students of varying leaning styles across the Physical Therapy Curriculum from:
1) Undergraduate PT & OT courses in Kinesiology / Functional Human Motion & Biomechanics to
2) Graduate level Orthopedic /Musculoskeletal Evaluation & Treatment Courses which included Differential Diagnosis & Manual Therapy.
I previously served as an item writer for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and helped prepare PT students for the NPTE.

Having undergone undergrad, graduate and post -graduate PT degrees and having taught multiple courses in PT school, I believe it very important for students to understand the basics - medical terminology, foundational sciences like anatomy, physiology & kinesiology and know key foundational concepts to be able to make sense of all that information on how it applies to patient /client management . I like using real life case studies to make the concepts learned meaningful. I will tailor your instruction to what you need to excel in your course work. I can help students preparing for the NPTE in specific content areas of Orthopedics, Neurology & Cardiopulmonary.
