About Emily
I am an enthusiastic neuroscience PhD student investigating molecular interactions within neurons. I discovered my passion for biology during school/university and this was in part fuelled by the inspiring teaching I received during this time, which has led me to want to inspire future students myself. Something I really value as part of my PhD is time spent supervising master's and undergraduate students, getting them to grips with practical and theoretical knowledge surrounding my subject area. I take a professional and friendly approach to teaching and spent a lot of my pre-university life teaching younger people to rock climb!

I offer one-to-one tutoring where my one hour lessons generally involve laying objectives based on topics the student finds difficult. This is followed by working through set questions together, with a focus on problem solving to gain a greater understanding of the subject. I hold a master's degree in molecular biology and am currently undertaking a PhD through which I have experience teaching undergraduate and master's students. My lessons are primarily aimed at A level and undergraduate students.
