About Joana
I am passionate about history of art, and I have a very deeply rooted background in the art world.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Architecture with a focus on the Art market through History.
I love teaching people about this fascinating subject, whether they want to learn it in order to further enjoy museums and galleries, or to get a better scope in school.

How will you learn:
Art history is very visual, so our lessons will rely heavily on visual aids.
Our lessons will feel like conversations, and I will always provide you with a revision sheet with all the contents we cover per lesson.
Depending on what kind of time period you want to cover (from Italian Renaissance to Contemporary), I will be giving you an inside scope as to the cultural context of the time, and the way in which it affected the works we will be looking into.
I teach mainly beginners and intermediates, and depending on period/area/location specificity on a graduate level.
