I tailor my teaching style to suit each students needs, whether they are a more left/right brained thinker, and whether they learn through visual metaphors, physical descriptors, using sheet music, or by ear. I aim for my lessons to be a very positive and enjoyable experience for the student playing music they love, while simultaneously learning proper technique and good practice habits for optimal progress.

Great guy and great teacher! Highly recommended
Silas is a very patient and effective teacher. He gave me singing lessons for about half a year, and he was very good at describing what the correct techniques should feel like, which was very helpful.
Silas is all around awesome. He has a calm, cool demeanor and is very understanding and will work with you through the difficulties. I strongly reccomend him as an instructor and teacher due to his teachables and personality.
Silas is an incredibly versatile and high-level musician, and is very committed to his art and making it accessible and understandable to others. He is not only an extremely high-level guitarist, but he is also a very accomplished singer and composer as well. He has worked very hard to get where he is as a musician, and he has a passion for sharing his knowledge with others. If you study with him, you will be in very good hands.
