About Alvi
I'm currently 17 and I am wanting to tutor some students so that I can help them be greater and get the grades they would like, and in return I am wanting to build confidence speaking to people. My GCSE maths teacher suggested I should tutor as I was always ahead of my class with maths, but I didn't like that idea as I was a shy student. But now I'm trying to change that. I also like to play some sports such as football, basketball, badminton, and tennis, and like going to the gym and gaming in my free time.

I use past papers to test how much the student knows, then using that I work on the topics that the student seems to be struggling on, and ensure they understand how to approach the question. I would also tell them the grade they would've gotten initially, so that they could compare from their old self and see if they've improved and if these lessons helped them. The lessons are 1-1.5 hours long. I have tutored a few groups of friends during GCSEs, and they all improved by 1 or 2 grades, and have tutored 2 students younger than me, who wish to get a grade 7+. My lessons are aimed at students aged 14-16, and are doing GCSEs (Higher or Foundation Tier).
