About Marie
I am a flute tutor who enjoys guiding students of all ages in their musical journey. My teaching combines creativity, accountability, mentorship, and critical thinking. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while nurturing expressive musicality. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to develop well-rounded musicianship.

I help students analyze their playing to improve accuracy and expression. Mistakes are part of learning and are used to strengthen skill. My teaching is flexible and adapted to each student’s needs and learning style.
I emphasize positive reinforcement and celebrate every achievement. Students learn discipline, patience, and musical independence. Along with flute, I teach related subjects like performance skills and theory. My goal is to help students enjoy music while becoming confident, thoughtful, and creative musicians.
