About Siobhan
I'm a musician for over 30 years, originally a progressive rock and jazz bassist, I took up music production about 15 years ago (but my first remix was in 2001), I produce many remixes for artists in the dark music community, I released an album with an industrial band Giant Monsters on the Horizon vs Violet Wanda in May 2024, that features a number of genres, each track with an industrial edge . I also have had a number of other remixes since then, featured on ReGen Magazine's Compilation "BIG HIT RADIO" I love to teach, and have taught many people to DJ and Produce in my community (called the HIT Squad) on Discord.
My second project is more pop oriented and called "Exposure Kills"
I was also featured on ParaLuna Record's Retronomicon (a compilation of 80's covers to benefit a member of our community who is struggling with health issues) and DEFCON Communication's DEFCON31 and DEFCON 32 Soundtracks.
I am an experienced mix and mastering engineer and have done work for artists in many genres, including Drum n Bass, Industrial, Darkwave, Gothic Rock, Electro Breaks, Metal and more.

My lessons take place over Zoom or Discord, and we carry audio over something called Sonobus (it carries lossless, low latency audio over the internet for collaboration or recording), I can teach anything from arrangement, composition, music theory, sound design, DJing, mixing, mastering,
My lessons meet you where you are at. If you are experienced, and want to learn new techniques, I am able to do that, if you are a very beginner learning the basics, we start even before you pick your software or DAW, building a basic knowledge set and skills that will carry through to later stages of your journey.
I'm a huge nerd, not just specifically in these areas, but a huge physics, computer science and psychology/neurology nerd, and these are all things that come into play in electronic music production, and am happy to explain why things work, as well as how things work, and give the tools to extend your abilities to their fullest.
I fully believe in the joy of learning, and will often give assignments that will lead to the next leap in your skillsets, if you choose to learn with me, we'll explore these worlds together. I am not critical or harsh and always give constructive feedback. We all start somewhere, and we are always learning. Even with years of experience!

Perfect! Really great tutor and I'm looking forward to take more lessons as I begin my journey as a complete beginner at dj-ing. Siobhan makes lessons very accessible and explains stuff in a way that makes sense to me who has little music background.
- Saorla was really eager to learn, and is right at the beginning of the DJ journey, which is really the best part, before developing any misconceptions or habits that may need to be broken. We had a really enjoyable conversation about the nature of DJing, and what makes a good DJ and I sent her off with some homework if she chooses to keep going.Siobhan's response :

Details
My rates are reasonable on purpose. I am very well aware I could get more for my time, but I want learning to be accessible to those who maybe cannot afford more expensive tutors and mentors. I believe in the accessibilty of music, and if you are just beginning, and don't have a DAW, plugins, and the tools needed, I have lists of free tools I teach with.
I want you to learn, and enjoy it, and not worry so much about the cost of the tools we need.
