About Maia
Hi! I’m a piano teacher with over 9 years of teaching experience and an Associate of Music in Piano Skills. I specialize in preparing students for church, theater, and live band performance. Lessons are tailored to their goals and musical interests.
I focus on accompaniment, chord progressions, rhythm, and improvisation. Students learn to read charts, support ensembles, and develop expressive musical skills. Each lesson builds performance confidence.
My teaching is motivating and interactive. I help students become versatile, confident pianists ready for any live setting. Together, we make learning practical and rewarding.

I teach piano by integrating improvisation, melodic development, and comping patterns across multiple styles. Students explore jazz, blues, and pop while creating spontaneous arrangements and expressive phrasing. Lessons focus on creative freedom.
I guide students with exercises that develop harmonic knowledge, rhythm, and stylistic interpretation. Feedback helps them refine ideas and cultivate their unique musical voice. Improvisation becomes natural and fun.
