About Victoria
I am currently working as a software developer, and have my Master's degree in Data Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). My Bachelor's degree is in Mathematics and Computer Science. I have always loved math, solving problems, and helping people. My tutoring experience includes tutoring math in high school, and while not formally, I have helped many of my friends with their college level math homework. I am excited to help others discover a love for math and STEM!

My teaching method consists of a lot of practice problems, since I am a very firm believer in practice makes perfect. With that being said, I am very flexible in helping students understand concepts and will teach a topic multiple ways in order for a student to understand. A typical lesson plan consists of a short explanation of the topic: its importance, applications, and the general guidelines for solving the problems. The big chunk of the lesson includes applying the concept to practice problems, increasing in difficulty for each problem. As a tutor, I get really invested into the topic/problems we are solving. One of my strengths is being able to solve problems; and, sometimes there is a problem that I do not know the solution to right away. I help the student find the correct resources for the problem and figure it out alongside of the student. My lessons are for any level of a mathematics topic.
