About Somesh
Hi, I'm Somesh - a software engineer and CS student from India who genuinely loves turning confusion into clarity.
I'm currently working as a Software Engineer at HackerRank, building AI-powered tools used by top companies globally for technical hiring. Before that, I worked at the Bank of New York on blockchain-based backend systems.
I studied at NIT Jamshedpur, one of India's top engineering colleges, and qualified GATE 2025 in Data Science & AI with a national rank of 418 out of 70,000+ candidates.
But numbers aside - what I actually love is teaching.
I've informally mentored 30+ students: college juniors, siblings, peers - helping them go from "I hate CS" to scoring 90%+ in their exams. I also worked as a Subject Matter Expert at Chegg, explaining CS concepts to students at scale. I've solved 1500+ coding problems competitively, which means I know exactly where students get stuck - because I've been stuck there too.
What I cover:
DSA & Algorithms, Python/Java/C++, Web Development, System Design, Databases, OS, Computer Networks, Machine Learning basics, and Interview Prep.
How I teach:
concept first, then code. I don't move on until it clicks. I use real examples, live problem-solving, and adapt completely to your pace and learning style.
