About Duran
For the past seven years, I have worked in the IT industry, honing my skills in communication, problem-solving, and leadership. These experiences have equipped me with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas, adapt to diverse teams, and foster a collaborative environment—qualities I consider essential in a classroom setting. My transition to teaching stems from a long-held aspiration to inspire and empower learners to achieve their goals through language education. I firmly believe that each student is unique, and there is no "one-size-fits-all" method to teaching. My approach is highly flexible, tailored to meet the specific needs of each student. I have worked extensively with high school students who struggled with basic concepts, and through my methods, they achieved significant improvements in their academic performance. By providing clear explanations and incorporating fun, engaging activities, I strive to make the learning process both effective and enjoyable.

I have obtained my TEFL certification which has provided me with the practical tools and methodologies to teach English effectively to non-native speakers. From lesson planning to classroom management, I am well-prepared to create engaging and student-centred learning experiences. I am particularly passionate about fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages students to build confidence in their language abilities. Lesson length can range between 30 to 60 minutes. I teach students from ages 13 - to 18 years old.
