About Esther

I am a UPenn undergrad where I'm involved with various tutoring organizations on campus. I'm the president of SLP, a club which provides virtual tutoring services for students experiencing homelessness in the Philadelphia area. Throughout all of high school I also tutored, mentoring K-12 students in a variety of subject areas. I am a committed tutor who will provide each student with the tools they need to understand the course material and thrive.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is to individualize each lesson based on the student's preferred learning style. I explain subjects in creative ways to ensure that students truly understand the content. A typical lesson plan will begin by identifying what specific areas need improvement, working through the student's misunderstandings, and finally coaching them through targeted practice problems to achieve success. Lessons for any K-12 (or college student) struggling in a school subject such as pre-algebra, creative writing/grammar, or even SAT/ACT content. I have been tutoring virtually for 3 years, so I feel very comfortable and confident using an online platform.
