About Vanya
I’m a singing tutor with 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting, where voice was my primary focus. I love helping vocalists grow not only in their technique, but also in how they tell their stories through song. My lessons blend traditional vocal work with modern tools like digital audio workstations (DAWs), vocal processors, and studio microphones. Whether you're preparing for a live looping performance or crafting layered harmonies in a home studio, I’ll guide you step by step. I specialize in styles like R&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian music. We work on tone shaping, phrasing, and harmonies so you can sing with depth and confidence. I also emphasize lyric interpretation and vocal expression—because how you sing the words matters just as much as hitting the notes. Whether you're learning your first alto line or preparing for a professional choir, we’ll build a strong musical foundation.
We use vocal warm-ups tailored to group singing, along with exercises to improve pitch accuracy and timing. I emphasize the importance of balance, tuning, and blending into the group sound. Rehearsal strategies are part of our routine, so you can walk into your next choir practice feeling prepared and connected. We’ll also work on quick score-reading and staying focused in multi-part settings.
