About Ryan
Hi! I’m a dedicated and approachable language tutor specialising in Spanish and French for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher students in Scotland. I’m passionate about helping learners not only improve their grades, but also gain real confidence in using languages.
I love teaching because languages open doors – to other cultures, opportunities, and ways of thinking. My lessons are clear, supportive and tailored to you, whether you’re aiming to boost exam performance, strengthen grammar, improve writing and speaking, or build confidence from the ground up.
I understand the SQA course requirements and exam techniques, and I focus on making learning practical, engaging and stress-free. No matter your starting point, my goal is to help you feel confident, capable, and proud of your progress.

Having lived in Spain for 4 years and France for 1 year, I have built up a wealth of linguistic knowledge. I worked as a teacher in both countries, and since returning to Scotland have taught in secondary schools in North and South Lanarkshire. I have taught all levels (N5, Higher and AH), and can guarantee improved results with 1-on-1 tutoring as the vast majority of my students achieve A passes. Typical class length 1 hour - available online or in-person (depending on location and availability).
