About Esteban
I'm a freelance translator. I mostly work with audio files from law enforcement agencies. The projects range from police interviews, interrogations, 911 calls, body wire recordings, and wiretapped phone calls. I have gotten more occasional business conference projects or commercials.
Spanish is technically my first language. I moved from Mexico City to Wichita when I was 5 and began learning English (no ESL classes).
I studied linguistics and neuroscience at Tulane University, New Orleans.

I like to keep things casual at first and get a sense of my pupil's skill level. I adjust my speech accordingly to where they can understand what I'm saying but new information will still trickle in at a comfortable rate. If they have a particular issue they tell me they're struggling with I'll certainly focus my attention on that.
