About Ana
Hi!
My name is Ana, a Spanish photojournalist with several years of experience in teaching Spanish. Especially with children.
Whilst my background is audiovisual communication, I have also been working in customer service and teaching Spanish since I moved to London in 2012.
I would love to show you how to improve your language skills teaching you Spanish as a native speaker. Whether it's learning how to order coffee or being able to communicate fluently in whatever context, I am here to help you.
Since I understand that we all have limited time and availability, I offer one-to-one classes that are tailored to your needs and interests, and I am always willing to adapt to any situation, schedule or location.

I tailor my lessons to each student's age and needs. When I teach children I often base them on arts and crafts. I aim to help them define the concepts and the words through the images we draw, the crafts we create, or the games we play. I focus on creativity to engage the younger students.
When I teach teens or adults, I try to identify topics I know they might be interested in and build a lesson around them. Depending on their level of Spanish, I include the use of new vocabulary, explore an aspect of grammar they may not be familiar with, or both. I like to use different writing styles for them to learn new words and encourage them to use these to become more fluent speakers.

Perfect! I had a wonderful first lesson with Ana! I’m a language teacher myself and have rather high expectations. Ana not only helped me with my grammar and vocabulary, she encouraged me to change my register and delivery which enabled e to be more effective in work the very next day. She has a delightful, colourful personality and went out of her way to fit me in for our session. I’m looking forward to our next lesson.

She wants speak more fluent spanish in specific situations. We practiced that situations, she took notes about new vocabulary and expressions. I believe she is going to improve what she expect very easily.

Ana is a great Spanish tutor! I’m a complete beginner and my goal is to be able to speak and understand conversational Spanish. She is very light-hearted and optimistic, her lessons are great because it seems like you are talking to your friend, but you are also learning another language at the same time. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Spanish and likes fun and engaging classes!
Ana is very nice. I met her in 2014 by coincidence. I was interested in improving my level of spanish because I had to communicate in spanish at work. And she help me so much.

Ana was our au pair when our 4 children were young. She was so kind and caring with our children. She has fantastic patience with children of varying ages.
