About Sahana
My academic background in Spanish grew from a fascination with how language structure shapes meaning. I completed an M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics, focusing on grammar systems, syntax, and effective language instruction. Over 12 years of teaching, I have supported learners in developing clarity and confidence through structured, patient guidance. I believe learners progress best when lessons feel organized and reassuring. My teaching style emphasizes consistency, clear explanation, and gradual challenge. I adapt pacing carefully while maintaining strong foundations that help students feel secure in their progress. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with Spanish through reading, linguistic research, and cultural exploration. Teaching allows me to support learners as they build confidence and independence. Developing learners explore past and future tenses, connectors, descriptive phrasing, and guided dialogues. Advanced learners refine nuance, accuracy, and expression through structured discussion and written practice. Regular revision, guided correction, and supportive feedback ensure learning remains steady and stress-free.
Spanish lessons also foster independence and confidence. Learners gain the ability to think through sentences calmly rather than guessing.
