About Alessandro
Hi! My name is Alex. I was born in Mexico City and grew up in the London area, discovering a passion for languages, literature and music from a young age.
I am a native English and Spanish speaker, and graduated from Oxford with a BA in French and Russian, then an MSt in Chinese and Arabic.
I have tutored (peer, volunteer and paid) throughout my studies and since then, including mentoring Oxbridge applicants from my old state school, as well as working as a coach, mentor and consultant for an international firm.
I find that coaching and tutoring - I.E. working one-on-one with people to help them learn new skills, build confidence, overcome challenges and solve problems - brings me immense satisfaction, and I enjoy it thoroughly. I look forward to our sessions!

From formal to colloquial Spanish, I draw on my vast experience of the Oxford language tutorial system - as well as my own best practices learning French, Russian, Chinese and Arabic - to offer online tutoring tailored to each student, so as to facilitate their language-learning journey in the most flexible and engaging manner.
Whether covering the basics, acquiring advanced grammar or fine-tuning native pronunciation, I aim to help each student to find their own best way of learning a language, and an understanding of how Spanish works that allows them to speak, listen, read and write it with confidence.
