About Laura
I have been studying Spanish since I was in first grade and it is one of my majors in college. I will get a degree in Spanish and Portuguese studies in four years. I have been taught by native speakers who also loved to share their culture. Plus I have traveled to the Dominican Republic for a couple weeks and gained some wonderful culture-filled experiences.

I am a high school graduate who is finishing up a gap year teaching English abroad. I am enrolled at University of Minnesota--Twin Cities for fall of 2019 and one of my majors will be Spanish and Portuguese studies. I have taken Spanish since I was in first grade and have loved the language ever since. I hope to have a good balance of teaching vocab and grammar. I want to make sure the students feel confident in reading, writing, speaking and listening. So I will provide activities to practice reading and writing, and I can help with conversational skills. I also love working with music and like to use Spanish music as a learning tool.
