About Esther
I have over 4 years of experience in teaching. Only two months after I finished my bachelor's degree (Translation and Interpreting in English and Italian), I started working in an online Language School teaching English (where I'm still working). Then, a year ago, I started working in one more Language School teaching Spanish as a second language. I truly take this as an advantage since, on the one hand, I'm used to the "online lesson" format and I try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to my schedule. Moreover, on the other hand, being an English teacher before teaching Spanish (my mother tongue) has allowed me to identify the main differences between both languages and now I can understand how a native English speaker's brain works when learning Spanish as a second language. As I mentioned before, Spanish is my native language and I've taught students of all ages and levels, but I consider that I can be really useful for students who already know the basics and want to improve their fluency since I can make them understand the main differences between both languages (verb tenses, reflexive verbs, and the like. I know it can be a lot). I've had very good results so far. I specialize in conversation lessons (speaking) to improve your level. However, despite that, if you need help with grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary or you want to improve all these skills, I'll be happy to help you with everything you need! Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have!

Hey! I'm Esther. I'm Spanish, from a small city called Teruel, although I try to travel as much as I can, so I spend little to no time in Spain lately. Ever since I was really little, I've always been keen on everything related to languages and different cultures (to the point of wanting to make a living out of it). I got my bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Córdoba. Then, later on, I got my Master's degree in Medical Translation at the University Jaume I. The plan was to start working as a translator as soon as I finished my master's, but I ended up not wanting to stop teaching, I've actually found out this may be my calling. Who would have thought!! I love helping my students reach their goals and seeing how they get better day by day, not to mention the friendships I've made thanks to this job! I've met so many people who start being my students and end up being my friends and a big part of my life. As you may have already guessed, I love traveling! I'm really lucky that my job allows me to travel as much as I do. I'm also really into reading and hiking.
