About Melisa
I am a Homeschool Mom of two, have worked in the world of media using my Spanish skills and can also sing in both languages. I am Puerto Rican and truly enjoy teaching about cultural moments whenever it helps with understanding of the language and how and why it’s used.
I have taught and tutored in many sectors including after school, private and public, homeschool programs and of course with my own children.
I enjoy helping people and teaching has been a very rewarding way to do so!

Hola! I grew up in a bilingual household where Spanish was my first language. I have taught and tutored pre-school through high school levels on both conversational and academic levels. I took the CLEP exam for Spanish for all of my college foreign language credits receiving a 78 out of 80.
I am great at figuring out where comprehension is weak or how to help your phonetic pronunciation.
