About Ana Maria
I am a professor, a retired teacher, a tutor, a story teller, a dancer, a poet. I have been teaching for more than twenty years. I have taught full time and part time. My diligent and average students have done well because we have fun while we are learning. I like to use various methods of teaching, as the students might
need. I have a BA, MA, 6TH YEAR (33 CREDITS BEYOND A MASTER), PHD= ABD. I am also a Fulbright Scholar.

My teaching/tutoring methodology is decided by my students' needs. I emphasize listening, speaking, reading and writing according to what is necessary. I like to use Internet materials, like duolingo, LearnSpanish; real life situations, and interactions with other persons other than just me to enhance conversational opportunities. We might do this as homework. I am flexible, patient, and empathetic. I like to smile, encourage others to do the same, and enjoy the class with personal anecdotes and jokes.
