About Zara
I have 9 years of experience teaching Spanish and hold a BA in Hispanic Studies and an MA in Spanish Language Education. Throughout my career, I have helped students of all levels—from beginners to advanced learners—build fluency, accuracy, and cultural understanding. My lessons are interactive, student-centered, and designed to create meaningful connections between language learning and real-world use.
I emphasize a holistic approach that combines grammar, conversation, writing, pronunciation, and cultural exploration. Students engage in role-playing, dialogues, reading, writing exercises, and discussions about culture, media, and literature. This comprehensive approach develops both linguistic proficiency and communicative confidence. Lessons are personalized to each student’s learning style, pace, and goals.
Outside the classroom, I continue to study Spanish literature, media, and pedagogy, bringing current, relevant content to my lessons. Seeing learners grow into fluent, confident, and culturally aware speakers is deeply rewarding. My mission is to nurture Spanish learners who are capable, expressive, and prepared to communicate effectively across contexts, embracing both the language and its rich cultural heritage.

Advanced learners engage with literature, academic Spanish, cultural debates, professional communication, and refined pronunciation and stylistic nuances. Every session is customized to learners’ strengths, challenges, and long-term goals to ensure consistent and meaningful progress.
Spanish lessons also cultivate cultural sensitivity, communication confidence, and creative expression. Students learn to navigate social, academic, and professional situations with ease, while gaining an appreciation for regional differences and linguistic subtleties.
