About Troy
Troy J. Hines is a proud graduate of the University of Maryland, Class of 2001, where he also played Division I college football. A U.S. Army veteran, Troy has called South Florida home since 2009, embracing the vibrant Latin culture and speaking Spanish at an advanced level. With a dynamic career spanning health and wellness, banking, and fine art, he has served as a business executive across multiple industries. A creative at heart, Troy has produced short films featured on IMDb and is the author of two published books. His greatest passion, however, lies in language—especially helping others master English with confidence, authenticity, and clarity.

If you're serious about improving your English, I offer an immersive, results-driven approach that doesn’t rely on translating from Spanish—or any other language. The key to fluency is thinking in English, speaking in English, and living in English. While I do speak advanced Spanish and understand the challenges Spanish speakers face, our sessions will focus entirely on English immersion to help you speak naturally and confidently in any situation—business, travel, interviews, or even dating. I'm originally from Washington, D.C., hold a B.S. in Kinesiology with a minor in English from the University of Maryland, and I'm currently completing my TEFL certification. My teaching style combines conversational fluency with mastery of grammar and written communication, so you’ll not only sound authentic—you’ll be accurate and articulate, too.
