About Philip
I'm Philip, a TEFL-certified English tutor with four years of experience helping learners move from hesitant to fluent. My focus is simple: getting you comfortable actually speaking — not just knowing the rules, but using them naturally in real conversation.
Having lived in France, Germany, and Italy — and currently learning German myself — I understand firsthand the challenges of learning a new language. That experience gives me unique insight into the structural difficulties you'll encounter when transferring patterns from your native tongue to English.
Beyond teaching, I'm into literature, photography, design, and philosophy — interests that naturally become conversation starters in lessons. I believe the best learning happens when we explore English through topics you genuinely care about.

Lessons are for learners at any level who want to sound more natural and speak with confidence. We work on pronunciation, rhythm, idioms, contractions, and the colloquial English that textbooks skip — the difference between correct English and natural English.
A typical lesson opens with warm-up conversation, then moves into targeted work on wherever you're getting stuck, using real topics and curated material rather than dry exercises. Mistakes are welcome here — that's exactly where the learning happens.
