About Meagan
I started as a substitute teacher then I began working full time as an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) assistant in a public high school. I am currently a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Special Education. Through my schooling experiences I have found tremendous joy in helping struggling children with beginning reading skills. I wish to continue tutoring outside of my college experiences to help students feel confident about their learning styles.

I use "100 Easy Lessons" as the core curriculum that involves letter sound and recognition along with reading accuracy and fluency skills. I also include handwriting and spelling practices through fun and engaging games. I will also teach skills in frequency of sight words. To keep young children exciting about their learning I implement small reward systems so that they can always look back at the progress they have made and be able to feel a sense of accomplishment!
