About Emily
I am a special education teacher with 10 years of teaching experience. I started my teaching career right after college in North Carolina before teaching at a military school in Japan. I then moved to California and taught at both middle and high schools. I have a passion for working with students who may need extra support or a different way of learning material that makes sense to them. I have taught all subject areas to a variety of students in both resource settings and students in advanced placement classes.

I enjoy making learning engaging whether that’s through games, visual supports or a combination of using technology and hands on activities. I will work hard to find a way to teach so that you can understand the content not the other way around. I am a firm believer that learning should be fun!
