About Patty
I am a special educator with 16 years of experience. Teaching students with dyslexia is my greatest passion and area of strength. After teaching in Vermont for 15 years I moved to California last year and am also enjoying my work in this field here. I am certainly enjoying the weather too:)

I utilize a multifaceted approach grounded in structured language principles and methods learned through my training in the Wilson reading program.
Typical lessons will incorporate a sequence of reading and spelling instruction that moves from the letter/sound level to word, to sentence, and then to passage level.
I engage students online through a curated program that has the above elements tailored to the specific student's strengths, interests, and needs.
I am licensed to provide special education instruction to children K-21 but know that the same approach can allow for adult instruction as well.
Lastly, I offer concrete and clear suggestions and materials for families and individuals to carry over what they are learning and practice for even more successful outcomes!
