About Tony
Music has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. I grew up in a musical household, and had a burning desire to be able to do what I saw other people do as far as being able to play a musical instrument. I still remember the frustration of hearing it in my head, but not being able to reproduce it on an instrument, and, and that stayed with me throughout my teaching career. I feel what makes me special as a teacher is my ability to relate to.The difficulty my students may have and the fear and intimidation they may feel when they begin their music studies. Knowing that I went through the same things that they are now experiencing help make me more relatable to their situation.

I have been a professional musician for over 40 years and have extensive experience as both performer and educator. in addition to a prolific performing career, I spent 20 years in the Music Faculty of Scottsdale community college where I taught classes and improvisation, music theory, rock and jazz history and numerous rehearsal groups, both large and small.
