About Shonta
I began my professional journey at Rutgers University, where I majored in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences. This educational foundation provided me with a solid understanding of effective communication, a skill that has been invaluable throughout my career. Following my graduation, I embarked on a fulfilling career in mental health, where I had spent over 15 years helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.
In addition to my work in mental health, I have also excelled in the corporate world as a Business Project Manager for a Fortune 500 company. This experience has allowed me to develop strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a keen business acumen. Inspired by my entrepreneurial spirit, I took the leap and started my own successful business in floral design and event planning. Through this venture, I have been able to combine my creativity with my business expertise to create memorable experiences for clients.
Beyond my professional accomplishments, I am proud to have made a positive impact in my local community. As the first female African American school board member, I have worked tirelessly to advocate for quality education and equal opportunities for all students. Additionally, I am an avid volunteer, dedicating my time to food bank initiatives, supporting displaced families, and mentoring women to help them achieve their goals.
With my unique blend of experience and expertise, I am uniquely qualified to provide guidance and support in various areas.
