About Galen

My name is Galen, a highly motivated academic achiever and a recent SPM top scorer. I successfully obtained an A+ in Bahasa Cina, a grade achieved by only a small percentage of candidates nationwide. Having recently navigated the rigorous KSSM syllabus myself, I possess a unique, first-hand understanding of the current examination trends and the common challenges students face today.

I am passionate about sharing my proven study methods and exam strategies with the next generation of students. My goal is not just to help you pass, but to help you master the nuances of the Chinese language with confidence. As a current university student, I am dedicated to providing a professional, patient, and engaging learning environment during my available hours on Saturdays and Sundays. Choosing me as your tutor means getting a mentor who speaks your language and knows exactly what it takes to excel in the modern Malaysian education system.

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology & Approach
As a high achiever who just completed the SPM with an A+ in Bahasa Cina, I understand that Chinese can be a challenging subject for many. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex structures:

KBAT Scoring Techniques: I teach students how to decode Higher Order Thinking Skills (KBAT) questions in comprehension papers to secure maximum marks.

Essay Enhancement: Instead of memorizing essays, I guide students on how to use sophisticated vocabulary and creative sentence structures to make their writing stand out.

Past Year Analysis: We will practice with the latest KSSM-format papers to ensure full exam readiness.

Lesson Structure & Duration
Typical Length: 1 hour per session (this is the most effective duration to cover both comprehension and writing without causing fatigue).

Flexible Weekend Slots: Lessons are exclusively available on Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate your school schedule.
Interactive Online Learning: Conducted via Google Meet/Zoom with digital notes and interactive whiteboards for a seamless experience.
Qualifications & Experience
SPM 2025 Top Scorer: Achieved A+ (Cemerlang Tertinggi) in Bahasa Cina.
KSSM Expert: As a recent graduate, I am 100% familiar with the latest exam formats and marking schemes used by examiners.
Native Fluency: Fluent in Mandarin with strong analytical skills in Chinese literature and linguistics.

Who Are These Lessons For?
I welcome students of all levels who want to improve their Chinese proficiency:

Form 4 - 5 (SPM Level): Intensive exam preparation and scoring strategies for the final hurdle.
