About Owain
I've achieved good results at university, after not being very sure about what I wanted to study and not enjoying school! From my own experience, I understand that we all learn in different ways, and there's a good chance that some topics and lessons at school just aren't suited to you. I'd like to be able to help fill those knowledge gaps and give you a bit more confidence - confidence I wish I'd had - walking into an exam hall or deciding topics that you enjoy studying and want to take further!

I take a student-led approach to lessons; taking input from the student about topic areas they'd like to cover, their strengths and weaknesses, before starting a lesson to make effective use of the tutoring session. I'm flexible with lesson length - whether 15 minutes or 60, and would want to work with the student on this. I know from my own experience that 15-minute chunks of learning are more beneficial for me, whilst others prefer longer lessons. I have achieved high grades at both undergraduate and master's levels in sport science, focusing on physiology. Whilst at secondary school I struggled to learn in a classroom environment, wasn't sure on my future path at university & beyond, and could have benefited myself from an outside tutor - experiences I feel will benefit students.
